I am only half way through this book, but I am starting to suspect that maybe Christopher's mother did not die??? I guess I will find out.

I thought this story was really sad, not uplifting at all.

“Lots of things are mysteries. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t an answer to them. It’s just that scientists haven’t found the answer yet” Pg 100

Share your favourite character, what did you like best about this character? what did you like least? and why did you choose this character

Christopher was my favourite character and I felt that Mark Haddon did a very good job of portraying him.
I think it would be very hard to have a child that you could not hold.
What was your favourite part of the book?

The beginning, when Christopher decided to become a detective and solve the crime.

Did you find anything uplifting? If so, what part and why?o

I did not find this book to be uplifting, instead I thought it was really sad. How difficult it would be to have a child like to Christopher? I cannot even imagine.

What did you think about the style and pacing of the writing? Overall how did you like this author?o
The book was well written and the style was in the form of a memoir, but it was a novel.

How would you rate this book?

2 treasure boxes, a good book

Kaitlin, they're by Anne Bishop. Erm....about....dark fantasy. Crazy and twisted, yet mixed with some surprisingly tender and funny moments. So far, the books are just incredible.

Works well! It is not obvious, thoguh. Will new users know to click on the yellow bubble or time stamp?Within the thread itself, perhaps you can put the same yellow bubble next to the title of the thread to keep things consistent? Maybe a yellow bubble with a down arrow?
