Me

Hi, I am Linda.

I am an avid reader and enjoy reading all kinds of books. I decided to start a blog so I could keep track of the books I have read with a rating and review, share my love of books with others and get some feedback.

My favorite genres are fantasy, chick-lit, historical fiction, suspense, horror, science fiction, romance, and I guess pretty much anything. My favourite book is Outlander by Diana Garbaldon.  I also love Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell.  My favourite series is The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, although I also enjoyed reading Stephen King’s The Dark Tower Series as well as some of his other earlier work, Charlaine Harris’ The Sooke Stackhouse Southern Vampire Series and J.D. Robb’s In Death Series. Plus many, many others like Robin Hobb, Terry Brooks, Anne Bishop, Tad Williams and Garth Nix.

I started reading when I was a child and I devoured all the books in Anne of Green Gables, The Narnia series as well as The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. To me the books were an escape into wonderful and exciting worlds. I shared these worlds with my children when they were little by reading these books to them.

    Linda,

I am a newly published author. My first published book is entitled Purchased Power. I would be appreciative if you read and commented on the book. Treasure or Trash is up to you but I would enjoy your comments. How can I get a copy to you or could I email a copy to you?
    Thanks in advance,

    Your blog looks great.

Our company has been representing authors for the past twenty years. We would love to add you to our database to receive press releases from them regarding books applicable to the genres you review.

Recently I was awarded the Liebster Blog Award from Jeanne Bannon @ Beyond Words. As I understand it, this award is given to bloggers with fewer than 200 followers to help them to build their readership. I am honoured to have been chosen and thrilled to now forward this award to YOU. You can pick it up on my blog House Millar

Thanks for the award. The only problem is, I am a little bit of a dork where computers are concerned. For example, it took me over a year to figure out how to link my facebook page to my blog so people can follow it. Anyways, I am not sure how to get the award from your site onto mine.

      Have a great day,

      Linda

    Linda,

Hello! I am a newly published author, and my book is called the “Legend of Rudwin.” It’s a fantasy adventure story. I can imagine you must be busy, so please feel free to ignore or remove this comment if it has arrived at an inappropriate time. I completely understand.

If you could review the book, however, that would be wonderful, and with your permission, I will post you a kindle version of it.

    Thank you for your time

      Hi Sean,

I appreciate you considering http://books-treasureortrash.com to review your book. Unfortunately, I have taken on a new project and only have limited time available to review books. As I already have quite a large back log of books to review, I would not be able to fit your novel in until early next year.

      Thanks and good luck,

      Linda

    Hello,
I recently published my commercial fiction novel to amazon.com and Smashwords.

    The Truth About Us

What happens when the past catches up to the present and the truth surfaces? Three women, roommates back in college, find their lives forever altered when one of them feels compelled to confess the secret sin of their past.

    And whose truth is it?

‘The Truth About Us’ weaves the past and the present in a page-turner that explores the shifting quality of truth, and the cost of secrets.

Please consider reviewing my novel. I can send it to you in most any format.
    Thank you,

    Dalene Flannigan

You certainly have read more than a few books. I too like Sookie series, and I am a huge King fan-The Dome, The Stand and, his book on writing. Now that I told you all that, you might be surprised that I wrote a children’s story! And, lastly, I’m currently living in The Bahamas and I am an associate member of The Canadian Women’s Club here. They are an awesome group of women and being American, I am fortunate to be part of their festivites. Keep reading, you are making many authors quite happy.

Hi – I’m the Author of a new novel titled The Daddy Game. It’s about a man who is accused of getting his ex pregnant and his travails at avoiding this responsibility. The story is told by him and is being well received.

I see your reviews and am hoping you would do me the honor of reviewing my book. I couldn’t see any info on your decision/submission process, so I’m hoping you don’t find this message too presumptuous.

    Thank you for your consideration!
